I don’t talk too much about my fitness routine (or lack thereof when I have 2 kids demanding my every minute) on this site. I generally do most of my fit-chat over on my other blog. But since the theme of this site revolves around my life as a mom who needs fitness to stay sane (and live a long, healthy life…but mostly to stay sane), I thought I’d spend the month of August taking part in a blogging challenge put on by my dear friend Janice over at Fitness Cheerleader. Here’s hoping I can keep up!
I like to run, swim and lift. Right now, with little access to a gym (and by little, I mean none), I’m doing mostly running and swimming. Unlike strength training, I struggle with cardio. Not because I don’t enjoy it but more because I’m not particularly good at it. I tend to struggle with endurance and the last leg of my workout is always the toughest.
One way I take my mind off those dreaded last miles is with my music. Nothing pumps me up, takes my mind off the burn more than my tunes. These 5 songs aren’t necessarily my favourites but they always help pump me up, pick up my pace and finish strong:
(in no particular order)
Right ‘Round: Flo Rida feat. Ke$ha
4 minutes: Justin Timberlake and Madonna
Moves Like Jagger: Maroon 5
Hit Me Up: Danny Fernandes
Honourable Mention: Whistle: Flo Rida (it doesn’t really make me run faster but it doesn’t make me smile!)
What songs pump you up the most during your workouts?

I think I’m gonna have to download me some Flo Rida – great list!
Great playlist!
I can totally relate about the kids. Here is a post you might like: http://sheslosingit.net/2012/07/20/that-70s-mom/
